Streakin on Memorial Day!

This Memorial Day weekend we did NOTHING! It was great! We did get a little work done outside but other than that we just lounged around the house. We did get the pool open and are in the process of trying to get it clear AND WARM! It sure would have been nice to use it on these super hot days we have been having! But since we couldn't ....we got the sprinkler out that Mason got for his birthday! He loves it! Jake would kink the hose and tell him to go try to fix it and when Mason would touch it he would let the water squirt out! Mason would squeal and giggle and run! It was so much fun watching them!
On Monday evening we went to my parents' house for a cookout with family. It was 112 degrees on my mom's thermometer in the sun.....we ate inside! BUT I was a genius and brought Mason's sprinkler!!!

Dirt, Worms and Belaxin'

Today for Yummy Treat Monday Mason and I made dirt and worms! He LOVED putting the gummy worms in the "dirt".  I was bummed that the weather was gross today! Last Monday was BEAUTIFUL and Mason and I spent the whole day outside! He loved sitting on the front porch reading his books! He calls RElaxin BElaxin! He says "mommy, belax!" so that exactly what we did all day! :)
This weekend was BUSY once again! We attempted our family pictures for Mason's 2nd birthday. Hopefully we got some good ones!!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was fantastic this year! Jake and Mason made homemade waffles for breakfast! I got cards and a new vera bradley apron too! We celebrated at my mom and dads Sunday evening. My dad made prime rib and the weather was perfect! Oh and dad got me and mom pedicures on Saturday morning too! We celebrated ALL weekend!!
We also went shopping at the outlets this weekend and Mason got a fun new hat! I am so glad he LOVES accessories as much as I do :)

JUMP!

Along with the playset that Jake is building for Mason we also bought him a trampoline. My work schedule allows me to be home with Mason 5 days a week! BUT we live WAY too far from any parks to be able to just swing by one and play. SO we had to bring the park to us! This way we have plenty to do outside once the weather FINALLY gets warmer! Jake spent ALL DAY on saturday getting this ready so that Mason could see it (and jump on it) after his party! At first he was unsure about walking on it...but hes a fast learner!! HE LOVES IT!! and mom and dad do too :) Its so fun!

CHOO CHOO!!! Mason's Party

This year Mason chose a train theme for his 2nd birthday party! I purchased a DIY party package on etsy.com (LOVE that site! check it out!!). You buy the design and then print and assemble everything yourself. It was VERY time consuming! But I LOVE that kind of stuff so I really enjoyed doing it. I also tackled making AND decorating his cake and cupcakes myself. Had I not decided to do that project after a 12 hr night shift and no sleep...I probably would have enjoyed that as well! :) I am so thankful that my mom and sister were able to  entertain Mason for the 5-6 hrs I spent in the kitchen on Friday!
Mason was so excited when he woke up on Saturday! He COULD NOT WAIT for his party to start! Jake and decorated the house the night before after Mason went to bed. So when he woke up on Saturday he saw everything and said.."what's all of this?" I said..its your choo choo party decorations and he said "Aww..MY LOVE IT MOMMY!!" He is so sweet!

The party turned out great and was FULL of family, friends and FUN! It was an awesome day! BIG thanks to my friend Asya for coming early and staying late to help me get things done!
