7 Days in Paradise!

Back at the beginning of June we took our annual beach vacation to Marco Island, FL. Of course I had big plans to edit ALL of the images and have this amazing blog post to share...but between being behind on "real work" aka clients waiting for their images from recent sessions and procrastination..I came to the conclusion that I should probably bite the bullet and just do a quick post about our trip and forget all of that editing! So I pulled out a few of my favorites and polished them up a bit. The rest are just straight out of the camera. But for my purposes of having these memories to look back on...it doesnt really matter :) This year I finally got smart and packed my tripod in my suitcase! So having that along with my new wireless remote we were FINALLY able to do our family pictures on the beach! Ive only been attempting this since Mason was born! I love how they turned out! We also took a sailboat ride this year and were able to stop at a small beach where Mason got to pick up shells. He had a blast! He also really enjoyed the pool this year. He completed his ISR swimming lessons at the end of May and it was definitely worth every penny! He is an amazing little swimmer and knows his boundaries in the water which is awesome! It was a fun filled and relaxing 7 days! I just can't believe its over :(

My Little Matey is 3!

Technically, my baby boy wont be 3 years old until 11:41pm on April 22nd. But we celebrated a day early this year with his pirate party! Mason has been SO EXCITED about his pirate party since...hmm...December? I think that is about the time he declared that he was having a pirate birthday party this year. What can I say? The boy is just like his momma and likes to plan ahead. Jake was able to rig up a pirate ship out of the party table and there were plenty of eye patches, gold coins and treasure to go around. This year, I was a little less ambitious and only made cupcakes instead of cupcakes AND a themed cake. Im no pastry chef! So about 24-36 cupcakes in....I get real sick of that piping bag! We had an awesome day celebrating with family and friends and tomorrow we are off to Chuck E Cheese for one more celebration!
